Definately not rockin' like Dokken.

Yeah so, anybody who's hung around me within the last year or so has heard me claim that something is "rockin' like Dokken," usually followed by the statement that I don't actually know any Dokken songs, and that in general, I'm not even terribly fond of that type of music. As a matter of fact, I can remember the last time I said it both things: it was Sunday afternoon, and my sister's boyfriend admitted that he couldn't think of any Dokken songs either, and that usually when he hears the name Dokken, it's part of a punchline.

Anyway, last night I saw A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors which features a song called Dream Warriors by Dokken.

It sucks.

Much like the movie in general. I've been slowly working my way through the Nightmare on Elm Street series after seeing Freddy vs. Jason with the cast of Psychos In Love, mostly because I'd like to see the fourth one. Why, you may ask? Well, it's a weird reason but it's because the soundtrack was composed by Craig Safan who also did the soundtracks to The Last Starfighter, and Leisure Suit Larry 5: Passionate Patti Does Pittsburgh A Little Undercover Work. You can guess which one I care about more.

Oh, the other thing that pissed me off about NoES3: TDW (geez, it took just as long to type the acronym as it would to type the full name (and even longer to type these side comments)) is that Lawrence Fishburne is credited as Larry Fishburne. I wrote a screenplay for a film class a few years back in which one of the characters starts out one of his lines with the words "Lawrence Fishburne, who lets me call him Larry, but only because he doesn't know I do it..." Perhaps it's common knowledge that he used to call himself Larry, but the joke isn't as funny to me anymore.
