|01:09 pm - New MP3, and what am I going to do with my website?|
First things first. New MP3 is up at my website. Hypnos, inspired, at least in part, by H.P. Lovecraft's short story of the same name.
I need to figure out what to do with that website, incidentally. Those who remember my old website (hi Ribs. 'Sup Jim.) will remember the hulking (but humorous) monstrosity it was. While I'm still amused by things like Adopt-A-Potato ("Because no potato should be without a home."), Iron Sausage Productions, The (reasonably) Wonderful World of Physics, and the List of Six-Letter Words That Begin With Q, I no longer feel the need to maintain a thousand-page Pile O' Funny Crap.
I'd like to do more with my music through my site. I'd like to possibly continue (or maybe restart) the Captain Spleen series as a 1940's-style radio drama, or maybe write a new CS game. One day I'd like to actually sit down and write The Adventures of Kickass McBeatemup and maybe make a game out of The Tale of Rhubarb Bunnywing. Perhaps I could put together Jerry The Banana's Curvy Slide Into Hell. Actually, I could do that right now in a matter of hours, if I weren't at work. Anybody be horribly offended if I write it in DOS?
I dunno. We'll see.
Go download Hypnos. It's a small file, and I'm very happy with the way it's turned out.

I really like your "Hypnos." You've progressed a lot since "Fungi From Yuggoth" but it still fits in nicely. It's also something I can let repeat without getting tired of it. I don't believe I've read the story yet, but I'll be thinking of your song when I do.
I miss your old website; it was a lot of fun. But I can understand taking it down. I have a lot of stories that I personally enjoy but keep them more for archival purposes than to share.
Thanks! I think I'm going to expand Hypnos into a longer piece, but inspiration has not historically been something I can dictate, so... We'll see.
