I didn't have any plans, I was gonna be totally free from outside hindrances, and I was gonna get all kinds of work done.
Aside from a load of laundry, it didn't happen.
I'm not sure where the evening has gone, but a substantial part of the last couple of hours has been spent getting my roommates computers to run on the network. We've just gone back to having a cable modem from DSL, and nobody could get their computers to work. I came home this evening, and within fifteen minutes of trial and error, my connection was back up. xoshua came home a little later, and we tried, but he wasn't having any luck, and I know nothing about Mac networking.
Just after he left, Sean came home, and told me a long, incomprehensible story full of sentences like "And then we found out that Josh's computer would recognize the network, but only if it was plugged into port seven of the hub, and nothing else was connected," "Mine would work, but only if it was in port seven, and the Mac was in port five," and "We looked for your porn while we were trying to get you on the network, but we couldn't find any and we gave up on getting you connected."
This, of course, is not supposed to happen, especially in a house full of people who profess to know all about networking.
Oh, well. Like I said, mine works.
