Lindsay: Wait, I get why they arrested Billy the Kid and Genghis Khan, but Beethoven was just playing music. Why'd they arrest him?

Me: They probably just rounded up all of the people wearing funny clothes.

Lindsay: Honey, it was the '80s.

Me: Good point.

I was forced to look up if Bill and Ted was really in the 80's, it was made in 1989. I am amused to no end that wikipedia has an entry on it. Also only now do I understand the Doctor Who reference, my GAWD I am such a nerd.

Well, a subtitle at the beginning of the movie indicates that it takes place in "San Dimas, 1988", so it's the late '80s, but it's still the '80s. Anyway, I actually missed out on Bill and Ted when I was in their prime demographic. I saw the first one on TV shortly after the second movie came out (1992), and wasn't impressed, but I've seen it a few times over the last few years, and it becomes more enjoyable and less plausible every time I watch it.
