In honor of what must be the most pointless holiday of the year (with the possible exception of Sweetest Day), I present you with some links which I found entertaining. Enjoy.
- The National Review has an interesting article on the philisophical implications of the film Groundhog Day, but you have to pay to read the whole thing, so I recommend you check out Roger Ebert's take on the It's A Wonderful Life of the '90s.
- Damn Good Times isn't one of my favorite recent They Might Be Giants songs, but this Sesame Street-meets-Christpher Lee video from TMBG.com is excellent. You should definitely check it out. Requires QuickTime.
- Here (thanks to thebitingfaery) is the first glimpse of Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride. 2005 is going to be a great year for movies. This also requires QuickTime.
- Add maps to the list of things Microsoft doesn't do very well. The shortest distance between two points, huh? They'll probably fix it soon. ADDENDUM: They have fixed it. Before the fix, the map was showing a winding, convoluted, 144-hour drive between two cities which now are listed as being 10 hours apart.
