Wedding day

Okay, this time for real.

Right. So. Flowers for Dubya. BST. $7.00. Friday night at 8:00 PM. april_tehe? fuzzyinthehead? You interested? Anybody else? Ellen and I are going to be there.

Anyway, last night I parked my car behind an SUV with New Jersey plates and a pretty big dent in the passenger side. This morning I was just unlocking my door when somebody tapped me on the shoulder. It was the owner of the SUV. He looked to be about my age. Probably a student. Fila jacket and Nikes. Baseball cap sporting the Lions logo (so I guess it was a football cap). Musical tastes probably running heavily toward Eminem, The Bloodhound Gang, and Missy Elliott. He was holding an acorn squash which he had picked up off the side of the road. It had obviously been the source of the dent.

"Didj you throw this at my car? Boy?" he asked. I mumbled my way through a "no, I didn't." He turned around and started accosting people at random -- the workers putting in a new garage across the street, a woman who had just crossed the intersection on her way to the bus stop, a jogger... Then he said "well this is what I think of whoever did this," and attempted to dropkick the squash. His aim was really off and I think he hurt his foot slightly. The squash rolled back into the gutter. I drove away, but I watched him pick up the squash and start to harrass other people with it.

At work I got an e-mail informing me that my PC is scheduled for upgrade (replacement). This is cool, except that it means moving a bunch of stuff from my hard drive to the network so that I don't lose it. It also means getting paranoid and deleting all the music on my hard drive. All the music is legal -- I brought it in from home, but I don't think I was supposed to copy it to my hard drive. It also means that I should probably like, bring in my portable USB drive and get stuff I want to keep that's not work-related off my PC. Fun, fun.

One of the things that should probably go home and stay there is the templates for a webcomic I've been doing called On the Road with Chuck & Bernie. I haven't mentioned it yet because I'm doing it weekly and I wanted to have a few weeks' worth online before I advertised it, but this is week five so there's probably enough material available for you to get the gist of it. There are other reasons that I haven't mentioned it before, but take a quick look and I'm sure you'll figure them out.
