I only have a few minutes before I have to get going to see Rocky Horror, but I'll be quick.
Nate, Sean and I were hoping to get the old place cleaned out and presentable for our landlord today, but it just didn't happen. We got about two hours into an eight hour job before the two of them decided we should give up and come back to it next weekend. Which is fine. We can probably do what we need to do, since it boils down to the kitchen, bathroom and basement. The basement really just needs to have all the stuff emptied out of it, and 90% of that is cardboard to be recycled. Not realizing that I was still in the house, some of the new neighbors came over immediately after Nate and Sean left (as in, they were waiting on their porch for the vehicles to leave) and started going through our trash. I watched three people enthusiastically pick up the monitor I was throwing away, only to drop it when they read the "No, I do not work.” note I had written on it.
This evening, ribsinbacon and I went to Broom Street Theater to see Rob Matsushita’s Sledgehammer Party. I should be out the door by now, so I have to be brief, but wow. The show is about two couples who, in spending the weekend together, push the passive-aggressive tensions of their relationships to the breaking point -- and further. What a show. Go see it. $7, Broom Street Theater. 8:00 PM, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights through September 4th.
Okay, I gotta go. I’m gonna be late.

Thankx for your kind words about the show....Last night was a blast performing it for you guys....GREAT Audience
Yes it was an awesome show. I jumped at a few points... pluss getting a whole set of seats to myself was kind of nice.
where were you sitting? Good to hear u jumped at a few points....you never know how people will react to a show when your working on it.
I was the only one on the left side, I moved there after the intermission, due to the fact that I'm a big dude, and hate feeling crowded.
cool...yup I know exactally where you were...this is Terry by the way
You did a great job! Enjoyed your performance, and I liked the calm at the end, very brutal!
Well, I didn't get to say many kind words since I was working under a time limit, but Sledgehammer Party is definitely a show I'll be recommending. I love Rob's work -- it's always dark, daring, unsettlingly comic, and takes me somewhere I haven't been before. Great casting too, by the way. I don't imagine it's easy to assemble the right cast for this kind of show, and you guys work with each other so well.
Rob is a hellofa guy...This show has been a godsend to me...It's been a blast
Would you mind seeing it again next weekend? I would like to go, and I'm available Sat and Sun. Get back to me.
Unfortunately, my weekend schedule is kind of in flux right now and I can't give you a definite answer at the moment, but I thought it best to give you a response in a timely fashion. I'll let you know about my weekend availability as soon as I can, though.
Okay, sounds like it's a go for this weekend if you're still interested? How's Saturday night for you? That would be my preference, but I could do Sunday if necessary.
I wish I had fans in my bedroom.
No you don't. They tend to boo and hiss when I get undressed, and they knock things over when they try to do the wave.
