04:39 pm - NOW DRINKING NUMBER: 11
I am finishing my eleventh cup of coffee for the day.

That's not right.

The Revolting Flavor of the Day™ is White Russian, but to me it tastes like nail polish. I'm cutting myself off at this point. No more caffeine for the rest of the day. This is what happens when I foolishly stay up until 2:00 AM. Why did I do this? Who knows. I slept intermittently and left my boss a message at 5:00 this morning to let her know that I'd be in an hour late for work, and that I'd compensate by working through half of my lunchbreaks for the next two days. Being able to do this is a luxury that I should not get used to.

Anyway, as you can imagine, I've been pretty punchy all day. Eleven cups of coffee and I'll still be up ready for a short nap when I get home. First though, I'm going to make a salad. You know that cucumber salad with vinaigrette dressing? I don't know why, but I'm really craving something like that right now. I don't get hardcore food cravings very often. I have garbanzo beans and tomatoes at home, along with the kind of ingredients that I think would make a good dressing (I'm improvising here). I think I'll pick up a cucumber and an onion on the way home.

In the meantime, here are a few links:

MTV's Total Request Live Online Voting form Apparently the folks over at Something Awful think it would be a good idea to flood TRL with requests for Whip It by Devo. The idea really amuses me, but I wasted my vote on Birdhouse In Your Soul by They Might Be Giants. 's fine -- I've never even seen TRL.

Lego Cthulhu's small parts may present a choking hazard for cultists under six years of age.

For everyone else, Roger Ebert's Thumb of Fate.

Woah, on TRL? Really? To satisfy idiots on the Internet, or did somebody fall asleep at the controls?

Okay. Devo is funny. NKTOB? That's scary.
Garmonbozia for the soul.
