Move over, valium! The Killer Klowns are a komin'!

My God, they're playing the theme from Forrest Gump over the Muzak system at work.

My God, I recognize the theme from Forrest Gump.

Uh, anyway, I've run out (almost) of stuff to do at work this afternoon. This is awful; I got plenty of sleep last night so I've been uncharacteristically wide awake and aware all day long. No, I didn't go to bed right after I posted that entry (and wow, I suck at writing journal entries when I'm tired). No, instead of going to bed I watched a really bad movie. Then I went to bed, fell asleep more quickly than usual, and didn't wake up once during the night. I certainly don't recommend using Killer Klowns from Outer Space as a sedative, but it worked for me.

As I mentioned a little while back, ThinkGeek sells a dorky Classic Computers calendar that I wanted. It was delivered yesterday, ensuring at least a year's worth of funny looks and perceived social ambivalence. January features the Commodore Pet 2001. Ever see one of those? Me either. This is way better than the UPS calendar I got from that hot redhead last year. Of course, these days there's a different hot redhead in my life, and she doesn't have to win my affection with UPS calendars.

I bought the calendar with a $25 Visa giftcard I'd gotten for Christmas, and in order to get as much of the $25 out of it as possible, I looked at ThinkGeek's other offerings to see what I might add to my order. Once shipping was figured in there wasn't much that would keep me below my limit, so I settled on lightspeed delivery and a plush mono virus.

For some reason I thought that paying to get "kissing disease" would be more fun. Oh, well.
