Anyway, Sarah sent me home with a Ziplock™ bag full of pasta salad. It has yellow peppers, kalamata olives, and feta cheese. Oil and vinegar dressing. It's really good. Sarah has (apparently) gone vegetarian very recently. Her coworkers and recently-acquired friends probably see nothing weird about this, but it was only a couple of years ago that she and her boyfriend (both weighing in at somewhere in the ballpark of "not enough") would cook an entire pound of bacon and eat it in front of the TV every night.
Somehow after all of that, Sarah's still only a microgram heavier than half of Kate Moss. She's making herself a tofurkey for dinner tomorrow.
That's tonight, though. Did I do anything else cool today? Not really. I got my transmission fluid changed, and my car seems to be enjoying it. Yesterday I didn't do anything especially exciting, either. Ellen and I got together after work and ascertained that her Nintendo is dead. She's a little bummed about that. I'd go out looking for a used one to get her for Christmas, but I've already gotten her a harmonica.
Now I'm synchronizing my MP3 player with my PC and trying to figure out why some of the tracks I definitely copied to it on Monday aren't there. Yeah, I didn't tell anybody this because I find it slightly embarrassing, but I got myself one o' those incredibly expensive, fancy, high-capacity MP3 players from Neuros, but I stress that the one I purchased was so incredibly marked down as to be on the comfortable side of affordable (not that I can afford anything else that constitutes "fun" until after Christmas, of course).
Tomorrow morning I'll be up bright and early so I can head over to the parents' place. Fun stuff. I hope everybody enjoys their Thanksgiving.
Aren't you glad you read my livejournal? The excitement never stops around here!
