10:07 pm - We're dedicated.
So offBeat performed at Edgewood High School tonight, as scheduled, despite the weather.

The drive across town took me an hour and ten minutes through snow and crawling traffic.

We had a small crowd. None of the people who'd left me comments promising to show up did, but frankly, I'm glad you didn't. The driving conditions were unpredictable (outside of single-word descriptions like "lousy"), and you would have arrived late. We abbreviated our setlist and put on a reasonably good show, but as I said, the weather kept people home.

Tomorrow, however, should be better. We're gonna pack Stella's, which won't be much of a trick given the size of the building, but that's not the point. It's gonna be a good show. Seven 'o clock. Be there or don't.

Yep, the snow continued for a long time after I left work and that drive was hazardous enough to scare me off the highway during the prime evening traffic period.

Sorry to miss your band yet again, though. I am sure I will catch a performance at some point.

No problem. Given the circumstances, I was totally in favor of everybody staying home.

We did make a serious effort to consider going. We were all like, "We should go see Colin"! And then we were all like, "OMGSNOW"!

But we totally were supporting you telepathically!

Which would explain why we gave a good show. Seriously, it was a great show, but it was really a token performance for the people who showed up. I was home by the time we'd otherwise expected to be finishing up.

I wish I could go tonight but...as I have to close the restaurant...that just doesn't look plausible :(

...it's okay. I'll keep you informed of our performances.

Stella's is a really small place, and I'm worried about how we're going to fit everybody inside.

We were actually so afraid of going outside that we huddled under a blanket in terror. Looking out the window at the snow made us noticeably uncomfortable.

Remind me to ask off for one of your shows.

Will do. Unfortunately, we haven't been doing a lot of shows in town (it's a matter of securing a venue). We're at a restaurant in Cambridge on the first and third Thursdays of every month, but (as stated above) they're way the hell over in Cambridge.
