05:38 pm - On a scale of one to ironic...
Taken completely out of context (does that matter in this case?) from the MSNBC story Bush: Critics try to rewrite Iraq war history:
“The stakes in the global war on terror are too high and the national interest is too important for politicians to throw out false charges,” the president said in his combative Veterans Day speech.

These AREN'T new questions -- they're the same old questions many of us have been asking for years, it's only that people who supported him (or voted for his initiatives without asking questions) before are now changing their minds and taking up that argument.

I admit, it's hypocritical, but it's hardly new. WHO'S trying to rewrite history? Right. Besides, he has this thing about "loyalty", which translates to "don't question me, just do it".

I don't want to see the present leadership implode, because we're going to be left with nothing, and THEN we'll be in trouble. I do want to see some house cleaning, though. I also don't want the result of that housecleaning to be a lot of pouting for the next three years...
