I'm so sorry. But listen, according to IMDB, $3,000,000 pays for 86% of a single episode. That's just enough to film the crew dying horrible deaths at the hands of rabid Star Trek fans.

I'd probably tape that one.

Well, let's put it this way. Ever since Gene Roddenberry died, the soul of Star Trek has been crap and techno babble and not the social commentary it really should've been. THAT's what made trek and next hen (first five seasons) great.

Also, if you compare old trek to new, you'll find the filming composition of the new shows lacks the visual depth both in compostion and lighting that the first one achieved.

Which is why the original is still my favorite, but Next gen with a few tweaks could've been right up there, and the remaining series... Just didn't get it.

May the next inception of Trek... hopefully in 20 years - be back to what it should be.
